Ape Escape Secret Cheat Code

So, does anyone got the Secret Cheat Code in the "Ape Escape Promo Package" to work?

In case you don't know what i'm talking about:
"*Secret Cheat Code

During Game play of "Frozen Ocean" enter the following combination:

Triangle, Square, Circle, Square, R3, L2, Triangle, R3, R3, Down, Up, L3.
This unlocks "Buzz" as a playable character. Password must be entered in a certain time period to enable function. A sound will be heard if done correctly."

So, anyone?

No, I couldn't manage to do it. I own the American version, however, so it may not work in it.

It was originally available to download off the UK Ape Escape website. It may need to be the UK copy.
